Dernière Volonté

Dernière Volonté (Last Will, in English) is the name under which French musician Geoffroy D writes his own music. Throughout an 'industrial' early period, Geoffroy tended to write a fusion of martial music and dark ambient. Choosing to focus on atmosphere, rhythm, and historical samples, he left little emphasis to be placed on vocals and melody. However, with the release of his 2003 effort, Les Blessures De L'Ombre, Geoffroy took a new direction, applying his martial style to verse-chorus song structures and pop melodies.

Geoffroy is featured as a guest artist on the Der Blutharsch albums When all else fails! and Time is thee enemy!, as well as multiple singles.

The band still plays occasional live shows.

Vermillion Lies are a cabaret band from Oakland, California. The band consists of sisters Kim Boekbinder and Zoe Boekbinder. They are known for incorporating elements of circus and folk into their music.
The live show involves the sisters pulling their odd instruments out of a large trunk onstage before each song, prompting the audience to ask, "What's in the box?" which incidentally is the name of their brand new album.

Dark City

Dark City is a 1998 neo-noir science fiction film directed by Alex Proyas. It was adapted from a screenplay written by Proyas, David S. Goyer and Lem Dobbs. The film stars Rufus Sewell, Kiefer Sutherland, Jennifer Connelly, and William Hurt. Sewell plays John Murdoch, a man suffering from amnesia who finds himself accused of murder. Murdoch attempts to discover his true identity to clear his name while on the run from the police and a mysterious group known only as the "Strangers".

Following its screening in wide release, the film was nominated for the Hugo and Saturn Awards. With the help of Roger Ebert and home screenings, the film has since become a cult classic. In the years since its original theatrical release, critical and scholarly reviews have reevaluated the significance of the film. A director's cut was released in 2008, restoring and preserving Proyas's original artistic vision for the film.

Soundtrack:

In 1998, renowned film composer Trevor Jones asked Anita Kelsey to perform on the soundtrack to major sci-fi cult blockbuster Dark City. This resulted in American actress Jennifer Connelly miming to Kelsey's voice in two prominent scenes as well as the Kelsey rendition of "Sway" being featured on the end credits. (The director's cut of Dark City uses Connelly's vocals both in the film and the version in the credits.) The tracks "Sway" & "The Night Has a Thousand Eyes" were included on the film's soundtrack released on TVT Sountrax.
